What Our Other Students Say...
Mikael Behrens âââââÂ
âI took one of Chi-Wei Changâs in-person nature immersion workshops, and I was very impressed with her broad knowledge and perspective of the benefits of being in nature and our relationship to it. She taught easy to understand principles and exercises that make connecting with nature and experiencing those benefits more accessible. This knowledge and these skills are valuable to both experienced naturalists and people who rarely go outside. They can help us navigate the physical and mental challenges of modern life and find connection to the natural world.â
Donna R. âââââÂ
âThink of Chi-Wei Chang's Nature Immersion workshop as a gift to yourself that keeps on giving. Chi-Wei shares practices to bring us into harmony with the natural world and to help ground us when our everyday world begins to wobble. Highly recommended!â
Ali McCants. âââââÂ
âAs a counseling graduate student with a strong interest in somatic and experiential approaches to healing, this workshop felt like so many of the concepts Iâve studied finally came to life in a clear, accessible way. The experience was beautifully and thoughtfully structured, weaving together breath, movement, sensory awareness, and nature in a way that made complex nervous system principles feel simple and usable. It genuinely felt like a living synthesis of what Iâve read and learned, translated into practices real people can actually integrate into their lives. And Chi-Wei is simply remarkableâher presence is calm, grounded, and deeply attuned, and she holds the space with both wisdom and warmth. The workshop cut through the noise and overcomplication we often bring to healing and returned me to what truly supports regulation and connection. I left feeling steadier, clearer, and inspired to carry these practices into both my personal life and my future clinical work.â
Josh, Austin, TX âââââ
âChi-Wei's Nature Immersion Workshop was such a great way to settle into a closer relationship to the world around me. After the workshop I felt like I left with a practical toolset to help not only use the world around me for stress release, but also with an understanding of why I felt so much better. By teaching us the why before showing us the how, I felt more engaged and open to the experience. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning, and I'd suggest it to anyone.â
 Mandy P., Pflugerville, TX âââââ
âThe Nature Immersion class was such a beautiful way of connecting with the elements around us. I certainly take nature for granted and Chi-Wei's class was a great reminder that it can be utilized to ground yourself, pause and listen, and release energy in a healthy way. She clearly has done a ton of research in this field and was so open to sharing her knowledge with the group. This workshop is truly a great fit for anyone, and if youâre in the Austin area, join a live event as a day date, family outing, solo mini-retreat, or company day trip!â

Chi-Wei Chang
Chi -Wei is the creator of nature-centered courses that weave together ecology, psychology, and neuroscience. She has spent years studying how our senses and nervous systems respond to different environments, and turning that knowledge into grounded, practical tools people can use in their daily lives.
Chi-Wei has taught students through online courses, guided walks, and educational content, helping people see their surroundings not just as scenery, but as an active partner in their mental and emotional wellbeing.
In her own words:
âIâve watched so many people feel âoffâ without realizing how much their nervous system is reacting to constant indoor life, screens, and noise. Once you understand what your brain and body are actually looking for in nature, you can start to use even small pockets of outdoor time as real support instead of a vague nice-to-have.
I created this course to be the resource I wish Iâd had earlier: a clear, science-informed guide that explains why nature changes how we feel, and then shows you exactly how to work with your senses, attention, and environment in a way that fits real life.
This course is designed to compress years of reading, experimentation, and field experience into a structured path you can walk at your own pace.
