Chi-Wei Chang is the founder of Wind Water Wild and is certified in ecotherapy, nature-informed therapy, and wilderness first aid. She serves on the board for the Center for Nature Informed Therapy and leads nature immersion workshops through wilderness preserves, weaving together psychology and neuroscience into outdoor experiences to teach practical tools for mental and emotional wellbeing.

In her own words:

“My career spans international relations, language teaching, and leading localization programs at SaaS companies, and throughout all the context switching between countries, cultures, and languages, I frequently found myself outdoors and on trails to recharge. Curiosity led me to look into the research behind how time in nature affects us, and I discovered a world of information that seems to have stayed tucked away within research circles or only leveraged by a small subset of therapists.

Having observed the rampant burnout around me in the corporate world and seeing only snippets of information shared online, I created this course to fill in the gap of a science-informed guide that provides a more holistic foundation for preventative self-care in mental health. It is designed to compress research findings from across multiple fields, cover the most common challenges addressed by therapists, and bring lived experience into a structured path you can walk at your own pace."
